Projekty kontynuują i zapowiadają cykl kolekcji, których bohaterkami są ponadprzeciętne realne i boskie kobiety – tym razem przewyższająca mądrością Salomona królowa Saby (Sheba).

„Mowa o królowej z południa, która spotkała się z Salomonem, by słuchać jego mądrości, a miała jej więcej niż on. (…) poznali się dzięki pustynnemu kogutowi, który odkrył istnienie arcybogatej afrykańskiej krainy ze stolicą w Kitor. Tam leżało wyjątkowe na świecie państwo Saba, które nie podlegało Salomonowi i nie wykonywało jego rozkazów. Gdy dowiedział się o tym Salomon, napisał do królowej list z zaproszeniem, ostrzegając, że jeśli nie przyjedzie, zniszczą jej kraj ptaki z nieba, jeźdźcy konni, duchy i diabły” – pisał Paweł Śpiewak w tekście opisującym fresk Piera della Francesca „Król Salomon i królowa Saby” w Arezzo („Tygodnik Powszechny”, 2018, nr 7).

Odwołując się do Koranu, „Encyclopaedia Britannica” podaje, że Bilqīs (imię zgodne z arabską tradycją) czciła Słońce zamiast Boga, miała owłosione nogi i kopyta osła.

Arkadiusa zainspirował cykl obrazów Any Marii Pacheco „Królowa Saby i król Salomon w Ogrodzie Rozkoszy Ziemskich”. Przedstawiona przez Brazylijkę Saba ucina Salomonowi głowę, co kieruję uwagę w kierunki Salome i Judyty.
„Noszący czarną maskę kata Arkadius wyciągnął z wypełnionego liliami kosza panny młodej woskowy model swojej odciętej głowy” – pisała Suzy Menkes w „International Herald Tribune” (22.02.2000).
Menkes nie dostrzegła, że zamykający pokaz Weremczuk miał na głowie czarną chustę, która nie kojarzyła się z katem, lecz jego ofiarą. Arkadius odciął głowę samemu sobie. Znaczenie samobójczego gestu pozostało tajemnicą.
Głowę wykonał Dominic Hailstone, autor stworów z takich filmów jak „Obcy: Przymierze” i „Kroniki mutantów”.

Buty to dzieło Christiana Louboutina.
Eleganckie, królewskie ubrania, których kroje wyglądały jak lilie w rozkwicie, udekorowano futrem, kryształami, a nawet kolcami jeżozwierza.

Dzięki wsparciu marki Ebel „Queen of Sheba” pokazano nie tylko podczas London Fashion Week, ale też w Bazylei, Warszawie, São Paulo, Lizbonie i La Chaux-de-Fonds. Sprzedawano ją m.in w luksusowym domu towarowym Henri Bendel w Nowym Jorku, w którym kolekcję prezentowano też w witrynie.

Jeden z projektów nosiła Mary J. Blige, nazywana królową hip-hopu soulu i R&B.

Wiosną 2000 roku Arkadius otrzymał New Generation Award (NEWGEN), prestiżowe wyróżnienie British Fashion Council. Wśród nagrodzonych są JW Anderson, Charles Jeffrey Loverboy, Wales Bonner i Alexander McQueen.
A Tribute to the Queen of Wisdom
“The Queen of Sheba”

The designs continue and herald a series of collections whose heroines are outstanding real and divine women – this time the Queen of Sheba, who surpassed Solomon in wisdom.

"We are talking about a queen from the south who travelled to meet Solomon to hear his wisdom, while she had more of it than he did.(...) they got to know each other thanks to a hoopoe who discovered a fabulously wealthy African land with its capital at Kitor. There lay the kingdom of Saba, unique in the world, which was not subject to Solomon’s rule and did not obey his orders. When Solomon learned of this, he wrote a letter of invitation to the queen, warning that if she did not come, birds from the sky, horsemen, ghosts and devils would destroy her country,” wrote Paweł Śpiewak in his article describing Piero della Francesca’s fresco “The Reception of the Queen of Sheba by King Solomon” in Arezzo (Tygodnik Powszechny weekly, 2018, no. 7).

Referring to the Qur'an, the Encyclopaedia Britannica states that Bilqīs (the Queen of Sheba’s name according to Islamic tradition) worshipped the Sun instead of God, had hairy legs and the hooves of a donkey.

Arkadius drew inspiration from the painting series “Queen of Sheba and King Solomon in the Garden of Earthly Delights” by Ana Maria Pacheco. The Brazilian artist shows Saba cutting off Solomon's head, which brings to mind Salome and Judith.
“Wearing a black executioner's mask, Arkadius retrieved from the bride's lily-filled basket a wax model of his severed head,” reported Suzy Menkes in the International Herald Tribune (22.02.2000).
Menkes failed to notice that what Weremczuk had on his head while taking a bow was, in fact, a black headscarf, which likened him not with the executioner but with the condemned. Arkadius had cut off his own head. The meaning of this suicidal gesture remained a mystery.
The head was made by Dominic Hailstone, a designer of creatures for films such as Alien: Covenant and Mutant Chronicles.

The shoes were the work of Christian Louboutin.
The elegant, regal garments, whose cuts looked like lilies in bloom, were decorated with fur, crystals and even porcupine quills.

With the support of the Ebel brand, the Queen of Sheba collection was shown not only at London Fashion Week, but also in Basel, Warsaw, São Paulo, Lisbon and La Chaux-de-Fonds. It was sold, among other places, in the Henri Bendel luxury department store in New York, where it was also presented in a window display.

One of the designs was worn by Mary J. Blige, dubbed the queen of hip-hop, soul and R&B.

In the spring of 2000, Arkadius received the New Generation Award (NEWGEN), a prestigious accolade from the British Fashion Council. Other winners of the award include JW Anderson, Charles Jeffrey Loverboy, Wales Bonner and Alexander McQueen.
